You may have noticed an explosion of fairies on your social media feeds already this month, and that’s because it’s Faerie/Fairy February!
Faebruary was a challenge thought up by laurarcenciel, to draw a fairy for each day of the month based around a themes/keywords that are assigned to days (1 theme per a day) which stand as an inspiration for your artworks. To help us with the challenge, she created a prompt list with a guide/suggestion for each day of the month, however, with no official prompt list this year it’s a do-it-yourself approach in creating fabulous fairies throughout the rest of the month
The idea is to draw a fairy for each day, follow the hashtag #Faebruary2021 for inspiration! With Colouring Heaven featured artist Christine Karron taking part, she’s also released new fairy illustrations over on her Etsy. Epic Events also have lots of fairy February themed events to take part in over on Facebook, or you can access their 2021 Faebruary Colorathon here.
However, as colouring enthusiasts, we know what a time-consuming challenge Faebruary can be, and that’s before we even get to colouring! If you want to save you time and get stuck in with Faebruary, you can still purchase issue #62 Fairies Special. Don’t forget to share your Colouring Heaven fairies with us over on the Friends of Colouring Heaven Facebook Group.
