Christmas is a brilliant time of year for colouring – there’s a festive buzz in the air, and we love a Christmas colouring page!
But it can also be very busy and stressful, with Christmas shopping, festive events, and money worries.
Taking time to colour can be a relaxing break, or help to reduce feelings of stress that might arise in the lead up to Christmas.
That’s what this challenge is all about – celebrating the magic of Christmas, and encouraging mindful daily habits.
Every day in December there will be a new colouring challenge, freebie, or tutorial to keep you motivated and excited about Christmas, all the way until Christmas Day! But there will also be mindful moments and reminders to slow down and take a break.
All of the challenges will involve colouring, so why not take a quick look our huge range of free colouring pages for you to download and colour at home, to help you get started?
On Mondays, we’ll be sharing a new Christmassy colour palette challenge for you to complete in the week! Every colour palette will have a festive theme, but each one will also be an exciting and unusual colour combination to inspire your Christmas colouring.
We are passionate about sharing brilliant colouring tutorials with our wonderful colourists, and every Tuesday in December we’ll be bringing you a Christmas related tutorial. Pick up new skills and apply them to your Christmas colouring pages!
WIP (work in progress) Wednesdays are already a popular weekly event in our welcoming Friends of Colouring Heaven Facebook group, but for December we’re bringing them to Facebook and Instagram too! Every Wednesday we’ll share an inspiring WIP page from one of our talented colourists – with a Christmas theme of course! – and encourage you to share your WIPs with us too. We can’t wait to see them all!
Of course, we don’t expect you to be colouring all week long! On Thursdays we’ll take a break from colouring and play a fun mini Christmas quiz instead. Here’s the first question to get you thinking…
Our favourite day of the week! Every Friday in December we’ll be highlighting one of our fabulous and FREE festive colouring pages. From 12 days of Christmas to colour in Christmas gift tags, we’re really spoiling you with festive freebies this year!
On Saturday, it’s time to roll your sleeves up and get to business, because we’ll be challenging you with a 30 minute colouring challenge with a festive theme! We recommend picking a small element or section of a page for these mini challenges, and just see how much you can get done with 30 minutes on the stopwatch.
On Sundays, we like to take a deep breath and slow down for a moment. December can be such a busy and overwhelming month, so every Sunday we want you to take part in 5 minutes of mindfulness to set you up for the week.
