Always struggled with mastering the art of getting realistic skin tones while colouring? Well, Lisa’s course can help!
Lisa is a successful artist who has been featured in several Colouring Heaven issues such as our recent Colouring Heaven Halloween Special. In Lisa’s early career she was a tattoo artist and later discovered her passion for illustration, with such a diverse background and heaps of experience it makes her an excellent teacher. But, her talents don’t end at that, Lisa also makes toys and dapples in taxidermy!
Lisa has recently started teaching on Udemy and also offers a crystal drawing course, we have also written about it here. Like her crystal course, this Realistic Skin Tone Coloring course is also aimed at adult colourists. To get the most of this course you should already have a basic understanding of colouring and shading using pencils.
If you’re busy bee then you’ll be glad to know that the course is split into three sections, with short lessons taking around five to fifteen minutes to complete, allowing you to revisit and follow them at your own pace. Lisa starts the course with pale skin tones, then moves on to olive and darker skin tones.
Each skin tone comes with an original Lisa Mitrokhin digital painting, a grey-scale colouring page as per the lesson, and a sepia colouring page, allowing you to simply print out the colouring pages and get cracking.
You’ll also learn Lisa’s selection strategy, new and different shading techniques, the theory of skin tones colouring and an understand of why certain colours appear the way that they do on skin.
