Study shows colouring reduces anxiety

Studies have shown that colouring in any form significantly reduces anxiety levels.

Participants in one test had their anxiety levels measured before and after a test and those who had done a colouring activity after the test showed significantly decreased anxiety levels and those who hadn’t showed an increase in anxiety levels.

These results prove that we’re on to something! Colouring is a great way to lower your anxiety levels and feel much calmer. It doesn’t matter what type of colouring activity it is, the tests don’t lie! Colouring helps calm you down.

Colouring is not just a fun, creative hobby that gives you a break from screens – it reduces anxiety levels too. As if we needed more of a reason to colour?
