What is your favourite colour?
Teal blue, or my default favourite for most things - black?
What are your hobbies?
I’m a bit short on hobbies right now, I’ve let most things slip - having a demanding job and two young children doesn’t leave much free time! Things I try to make time for are colouring (obvs!), reading, film and music. Back in my care-free days I used to be craft-crazy and had hobbies from papercraft, stained glass, mosaics, cross-stitch, knitting, sewing, calligraphy, pottery...
What is your favourite Colouring Heaven Issue?
Every new issue is my new favourite! I was completely enchanted by the beautiful illustrations from Adele Lorienne for Woodland Fantasy Special though, especially as there are a couple of them which look just like my daughter! The issues I’m most proud of are the end of year annuals - seeing designs from all the fabulous artists that have featured during the year fills me with joy!
When did you start colouring?
I coloured during my college years and that passion was rekindled when I launched Colouring Heaven.
How many siblings do you have?
One younger brother. He now lives with his family in Norfolk, which is a long way from Bristol so I don’t see him very often.
What is your favourite film?
I’m rubbish at choosing favourite anything’s as my choice will change depending on my mood. As with my taste in music, my taste in film is pretty eclectic, with action thrillers and 80’s family movies being amongst my favourites. One thing I can easily say though is that I don’t like horror - I can’t do anything supernatural or paranormal after being terrified by Nightmare on Elm Street as a child.
One thing most people don’t know about you?
I think most people who know me know everything about me. I’m a talker.
What is your favourite food?
Chocolate. I can’t live without it. I’ve tried, it just makes me angry!
What is your dream holiday?
A three-stop tour of Japan - Kyoto, Tokyo and Osaka.
Are you a dog or cat person?
I grew up with cats and my in-laws have always had dogs. My other half is allergic to cats and we don’t have time for a dog so we’re pet-less, but that may change with pressure from the children as they get older. If I was at home enough I’d be tempted to get a pin-haired datshund.
